The first national AI strategy in Sub-Saharan Africa to be co-drafted with the global AI research community (over 120 Nigerian AI researchers contributed to the August 2024 draft). Establishes the National Centre for AI and Robotics, a regulatory sandbox under NITDA, and AI-skills funding via the Three Million Technical Talent (3MTT) programme. Sector-specific regulatory alignment with NCC, CBN, NDPC and NAFDAC is the principal implementation challenge.
