Scholars of the Republic

Top performers in WAEC, JAMB, NECO, and the GCE — verified against examination-body releases. Behind every name is a year of strike-shut schools, fuel shortages, ASUU walkouts, or examination scandals.

What it took

The conditions behind every distinction

Public-school decay

Over 18 million Nigerian children were out of school by 2022 — the highest in the world. Many WAEC top performers came from schools without laboratories, libraries, or consistent electricity.

University shut-downs

The 2020–2022 ASUU strikes closed federal universities for over 9 months in 2022 alone. Cumulatively, ASUU has been on strike for over 5 years since 1999.

Examination scandals

From the 2023 Mmesoma JAMB-result manipulation to the 2025 WAEC torchlight exams and JAMB CBT failures, every cohort here sat through a national exam-integrity crisis.
