Every number this archive publishes, with the source and the date attached to it. One vocabulary of names, one wire format, one place the figures come from.

Source of truth

The Republic holds the record; dashboards.extrafemi.com renders it. The dashboards keep no copy of a figure — they read these series over the API below, so a chart there and a page here can never quietly disagree. The gate on the dashboards sits on interactivity, exports and saved views. It never sits on a fact.

Provenance travels with the number: every point carries the body that published it and the date it was published or last verified. A chart with no citation is not a chart we will serve.

A single internally consistent price level for the whole independence period, used across the archive to convert historical naira sums into present money.

Chain-linked once from annual average inflation rather than spliced across the 2009 and 2024 rebases, so any two years in the series are directly comparable.
