The record

Sir Adeyemo Alakija (1884–1952), barrister and businessman, co-founded the Daily Times of Nigeria in 1925 and served as its first chairman. He was a member of the Legislative Council of Nigeria. Knighted Knight Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire in 1945.
