United Nigeria Airlines, launched in February 2021 by Prof. Obiora Okonkwo, was the first major new entrant of the Buhari second-term aviation cycle. Its rapid network expansion across the South-East, South-South and northern trunks made it one of the surviving four scheduled domestic operators by the mid-2020s.
