Med-View Airline

Status: Operationally dormant since 2019.

Ownership

Indigenous Nigerian ownership

Why it is on record

Built on the Hajj-airlift business; briefly operated Lagos–London Gatwick (2016–18) and Lagos–Dubai before fleet-grounding.

Record held

Second Nigerian indigenous carrier to operate scheduled UK service post-Arik.

Deep dive

Med-View Airline, founded in 2007 by Alhaji Muneer Bankole, was for some years the only Nigerian operator of long-haul scheduled service to London (Gatwick) and Dubai and the principal Nigerian Hajj operator alongside Kabo. The progressive loss of its IATA clearances, ground-handling defaults and Hajj-airlift defaults through the late 2010s ended scheduled service.
