Osagie Emmanuel Ehanire (b. 28 February 1946, Edo State) was Minister of State for Health from 2015 before his elevation in 2019.
He led the federal COVID-19 response from the index case (27 February 2020) through the rollout of vaccines (March 2021) and the lifting of restrictions (December 2022). Nigeria recorded 266,675 confirmed cases and 3,155 deaths by the end of his tenure (NCDC).
