The record

Isaac Adewole, former Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ibadan, served as Minister of Health through the largest Lassa fever outbreak on record (2018), which produced 633 confirmed cases and 171 deaths between January and December 2018.

He oversaw the establishment of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control as a parastatal under the NCDC Act 2018.
