The record
Diezani Alison-Madueke (b. 6 December 1960, Port Harcourt) was the first female Petroleum Minister, the first female President of the OPEC Conference (2014), and the longest-serving Petroleum Minister of the Fourth Republic.
Her tenure included Lamido Sanusi's February 2014 disclosure of $20bn in unremitted NNPC receipts, which prompted Sanusi's suspension as CBN Governor.
She was charged in the UK on five counts of bribery in October 2023. Multiple EFCC asset-forfeiture orders have been granted against her between 2017 and 2024.
