Ambode government bulldozes the 30,000-resident waterfront settlement on Lekki Lagoon; ≥17 killed (some by gunfire, several drowned fleeing into the lagoon).   • 20 Oct 2020 — Lekki Toll Gate / #EndSARS. After 13 days of peaceful protest at the Lekki Toll Plaza against the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, soldiers of the 65 Battalion (Bonny Camp) and Lagos State Police open fire at ≈18:45; Lagos State Judicial Panel of Inquiry (Doris Okuwobi report, Nov 2021) finds 9 confirmed dead, 4 missing presumed dead, 1 dead at Alausa, ≥48 injured.
