- 1976–1991 — Construction-era resettlements. An estimated 100,000 Gbagyi, Koro and Bassa villagers displaced from the city centre to Kuje, Kwali, Abaji and to Nasarawa State. Compensation paid was nominal; many of the resettled villages remain without titled land 50 years later.
