The NAIDP introduced graduated import duty bands (CKD 5%, SKD 10%, fully built units 35%) to incentivise local assembly. Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing (Nnewi), PAN Nigeria, Hyundai (Stallion Group, Lagos) and Mikano have all operationalised assembly lines under the Plan. The 2023 revision extends incentives to electric vehicles and hybrid components.
