On 12 April 2017 the EFCC, acting on a whistle-blower tip, recovered $43,449,947, £27,800 and ₦23,218,000 from Flat 7B, Osborne Towers, Ikoyi. The Federal High Court Lagos ordered final forfeiture in November 2017. Ownership was claimed by the NIA.
