Atiku Abubakar (b. 1946), retired Deputy Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service, served as Vice-President under President Obasanjo from 29 May 1999 to 29 May 2007. He was the PDP/AC/PDP presidential candidate in 2007, 2019 and 2023, and was the runner-up to Bola Tinubu in 2023.
