Lady Nancy Robertson (née Walker) was wife of Sir James Wilson Robertson, Governor-General 1955–60. She was the last Briton to hold the role of quasi-First-Lady of Nigeria. Government House Lagos under her tenure was the venue for the 1957 Constitutional Conference receptions, the 1958 Resumed Constitutional Conference, and the December 1959 federal election victory dinners that preceded Independence.
On 1 October 1960 she stood beside her husband at Lagos Race Course as the Union Jack came down and the Nigerian flag was raised by Lt. David Ejoor. The couple returned to the United Kingdom; she outlived her husband and died in 1986.
