Deep dive
Kabo Air, founded in 1980 by Alhaji Kabiru Mohammed, was the first private airline based in northern Nigeria and an early operator of the Lagos-Kano-Maiduguri trunk. It is best known as the principal Nigerian charter operator of the Hajj airlift, which it has flown almost continuously for forty years for NAHCON and predecessor pilgrim-welfare boards.
