The record

Colonel Mohammed Sambo Dasuki (b. 1954), son of Sultan Ibrahim Dasuki, served as Aide-de-Camp to General Ibrahim Babangida before retiring from the Army. As NSA from 22 June 2012 to 13 July 2015 he chaired the procurement committee at the centre of the EFCC's 'Dasukigate' probe — the alleged diversion of US$2.1 bn intended for the prosecution of the war on Boko Haram. He was detained from December 2015 until his release on bail on 24 December 2019 following a series of court orders.
