Central Bank Governor Sanusi Lamido Sanusi: $20 billion in oil sales unaccounted for. PWC audit later confirms $1.48 billion shortfall, with disputed methodology around the remainder.

CBN Governor Sanusi's letter to President Jonathan alleged $20 billion in unremitted NNPC receipts. He was suspended in February 2014. The PwC forensic audit (2015) confirmed a $1.48 billion direct shortfall and questioned a further $18 billion in opaque arrangements.
