Nwankwo Christian Kanu (b. 1976) won the FIFA U-17 World Cup with the Golden Eaglets in 1993, captained the Dream Team to Olympic football gold at Atlanta in 1996, and won the African Footballer of the Year award in 1996 and 1999.
