Prof. Bart Nnaji
Led the Power Sector Reform Programme; oversaw PHCN unbundling. Resigned 2012.
The record
Bart Nnaji (b. 13 January 1956), robotics engineer and founder of Geometric Power, was Minister of Power from 2011 to 2012 and led the design and execution of the Power Sector Reform Programme.
PHCN was unbundled into 18 successor companies and most were privatised in November 2013 — six generation companies (GenCos) and eleven distribution companies (DisCos). Nnaji resigned in August 2012 over what he described as conflicts of interest as Geometric Power bid for assets in the privatisation.
