Moji Adeyeye (b. 1953) was the first female DG of NAFDAC since Dora Akunyili. Her tenure included emergency-use authorisation for COVID-19 vaccines (March 2021), the partial ban on sachet alcohol (2024), and the major drug-counterfeit raid on the Idumota and Onitsha markets in February 2024.
