Abdullahi Dikko Inde

Longest-serving CG of the Fourth Republic. Oversaw the Destination Inspection takeover from Cotecna / SGS in 2013.

The record

Inde (b. Bauchi, 1960) presided over the policy transition by which NCS — not foreign inspection firms — issued the final risk-assessment report for imports. Revenue rose from ₦563bn (2010) to ₦942bn (2014).

His tenure was also marked by the controversial NCS-NLNG dispute over import-duty exemptions and the 2014 vehicle-import policy that doubled the duty on used cars from 20% to 35% + 35% levy.
